Got started on a Makerbot Replicator 2 and fought with it for a long time before I left that job. Then got an Anycubic Photon years later that just works like 85% of the time. Had an Elegoo Neptune 2 for a bit, but the cheap parts started to wear, and I decided that I really like the designing and kitbashing as much or more than the printing, so I got a BambuLab X1C and now everything just prints.
