I have a question about this. I’m new to 3d printing. I’m using ultimaker cura and an ender 3 s1. Once this is mounted I would assume I need to change offsets and stuff along those lines but how. Is it through the printer or the software or both? I guess how do I do it is the question.
@Koala_543641 it means create new version of printer firmware, as these settings are embedded in the source code
@Koala_543641 but you can also use the https://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/M851.html gcode to set it
Printed in PETG for heat resistance. 0.1mm layer height, 40 mm/s speed.
Simply could not get it to work with ABL. Checked all the mechanical parts. Wheels, belts, everything. ABL was useless. But after a forum find, I found this Printable. It worked like a charm! Fantastic design.
Sent 2 pictures with before and after benchmark of the ABL, what a difference!
(Haven't had time to get the Z offset perfect, but atleast the result is consistent...)
1 picture of the Printable. And the 4th picture of the paper is how I calibrated the probe offsets.
Mine turned out to be X -46.8mm and Y -3.25mm.
Just move the nozzle down to a taped down paper and mark the home location of it. Then mark the probe location on the paper aswell. And with a square tool, draw straight lines. After that you can get the values you need :)
Hey, I made it. For mounting adapter to the extruder I used screws from extruder and for mounting CRTouch to the adapter used M2.5x12mm screws. For cable extension ordered and used jst 1.25mmx5 connector set with 10 male and 10 female connectors from aliexpres. All works as expected. Have 0.06 variance in mesh and readings are more consistent. Thank you for your effort.
@nesham_240390 Glad to hear it helped!
@nesham_240390 Could you drop a link for the cable you ordered?
Much better then original mount position... had so many issues before using this one ... Thanks!
These work great on my Trident! Actually would suggest these are the perfect bed plate stop. Print in PC so expect long term temp stability. Well done!
