@Calvin_19785 yes I used pins 1 and 4, but there is no difference, you could easily use 2 and 3 (those cables are connected directly to the 24V power supply. Could you check what your actual input voltage is? It seems very strange to me that you are checking for a final voltage of 2.4V. Could you show me with some photos or videos of yours what you are doing?
@Goro Thanks for your help!. Because of your explanation I tought maybe the buck converter was faulty so I changed it for another one. I followed your steps once again and this time everithing worked but I had to set the voltage to 5.6 instead of 5.4 like you did to get around 4.75.
Im going to do some print tests to see If the error is gone now.
Thank you! The latest firmware update nag bricked our mmu2s. I found some other threads about buck converters, I had some LM2596 in the random maker parts bin. I was about to design what you did, but then found yours. I tapped into the 24v and 5v pins at the board backside instead of cable mods, but that's just a situational preference. Fixed the problem in a couple hours.

@Kenyiro34_2373098 I can't take it apart anytime soon. I did the same electrical connections as OP posted in pictures. I just made the connections directly on the PCB instead of splicing into the cable. I did this on the back side of the PCB, where the connector header pins stick up a little bit. If you don't have a good soldering iron, holding vises, solder paste and some skills. Then I would recommend what OP did splicing into the harness wires. Nothing wrong with either method, I just found my method faster for my level of tools and skills. I could have also cooked my board if I was overconfident on that decision.
