My wife and I liked the idea; quite fun they appeared.
So, I tried a few test prints using Hers 1 and Hers 2, all printed using Elegoo PETG on a Prusa MK4 and a Bambu X1 Carbon (w E3D high flow hot end).
I printed at both 150% and 200%, 0.20 layer heights, printer tuned for individual filament spool.
I ran into several issues:
1, most if no all of the STLs had open manifolds. These we easily corrected, though worrisome. (see comment at end).
2. Text, Even at 200% text with 20+ characters were problematic. Some of it tweaking bridging settings (or switching to PLA) might improve. A good bit of the problem was kerning simply did not allow enough room between letters. Also, while nicer looking serif fonts are more complex which combined with the close tolerance makes printing the text problematic. A simpler sans serif font while less visually appealing might help some.
I may give them a shot using a resin printer; still considering trying it.
If I end up trying a test with PLA and or my resin printer I will let you know.
FWIW: I have created and also used a few models due to the rather exotic nature of their geometry ended up being printed with open manifolds. As a general rule, open manifolds are to be avoided.
