Paul...what type of filament do you recommend for this build, PLA or PETG? What filament are you using for the diffuser? Is the diffuser a white color or transparent color? Thanks! :)

@FrenchieDad_2865871 I used PLA from Bambu lab but in my opinion PETG works better.
The diffuser can be printed with plain white filament, the thickness should make it work perfect.

Busy printing out the main body pieces... In the meantime, how did you connect the LEDs together? Did you just cut small length wires and solder them to each end of the LEDS? I was wanting to fit the JST connecters down in the bottom of each hex body, but they won't fit. My hope in doing this would be so I could change the configuration later if I wanted, or if an LED strip went bad, it would be easy to replace. Looks like I have to scrap that idea. No reflection on your build, was just the original thought I had for my build. Anyway, just wanting to get an idea of how you put the LEDS together in your build to give me another option. THANKS!

@FrenchieDad_2865871 Hi, I have soldered them all together as it was going to be a fixed whole.

This is the riser I was looking for - not an excessive amount of lift or use of filament. Fitted perfectly. Will likely print more hex for the sides but at the moment busily printing hsw mounts for cutters, scraper, tweezers, etc. My space is gonna be more organised than ever - thank you.

Quick question - I noticed that the latest 3MF file you've uploaded (15 Dec 23) does not have supports enabled. Is that an oversight or will this really print without supports?

@pjschaffer_1372779 MMmm, there should be supports on the big frame parts, the rest is supportless, will have a look, thank you for noticing.

Printed at 85% scale so as to fit my print bed. It all scaled nicely. Thanks for a great remix!

Really like this model. The height is perfect for my needs as I can still open the AMS lid all the way an not hit the shelf above. I printed the included 3MF file. My only issue is the glass does not fit that well on the bottom position. It is VERY tight and to get the glass back out i have to push up from the inside to get it release. Printed in Polymaker ASA.

Printed using PETG. This fit is perfect and assembly was about as easy as it gets. I loaded the project and pretty much printed as it. On the rear pieces there was no support on the curve so the finish was not what I wanted. I did not reprint these pieces because it works and the areas are in the rear. The front two pieces were a different story. Initial print with no support and the tabs for locating the AMS unit did not print correctly on the underside. I went back in an added supports only to these areas and also on the cutouts where the connectors go in. Second print was totally fine. Note to self, check all the settings before printing and don't assume they are good to go.

Printed in gray/black/neon green. It did take quite a bit of sanding/dremeling to get it to fit with my current design, and I kinda wish it had guiding holes to fasten it to the printer, but it looks great nonetheless!

I wanted a slim riser, and that's what I got! Printed well in Bambu Matte Orange and Black.

did anybody with the newer style AMS (4 slots/holes on side instead of 3) printed this and can confirm it works with it?

@BeerHunter_362286 I received a new AMS today (it has 3 slots on the side), printed parts 1A and 1B to test the fit, and it appears to fit well. I'm not sure about a 4-slot side design being the latest AMS version.

hi, what else do i need to download to get the other boxes in the picture?

@BeerHunter_362286 Look at the paid Club section for the designer. I couldn't find the files either until I realised there was a paid section.

Wir reden aneinander vorbei, das die Aussparungen für die Connector bei der L-Box Left Rear fehlen hat nichts mit Drucker oder Filament zu tun! Schauen sie sich das Bild an, dann sollte klar werden was ich meine.

@Roja_176343 I see it and have changed it, new 3mf file is uploaded.

Excellent design! Printed pretty well in PETG.

The only downside is that the corner radius for the glass is slightly different and it won't fit. Luckily I'll be printing the raiser so hope that part fits the glass nicely. Doesn't seem to be any warping nor scale issues, but not sure if it's a design problem.

Hope this feedback helps (feel free to contact me if you need any help improving any parts).

do you know what scraper fits in this inlay is it the one that comes on the sd card ? (edited)

Ludicrous mode.

All of Paul's designs and remixes are awesome. Give it a try.

So I just finished printing this... I really like it except the knobs on the drawers are absolutely horrible. I've been thinking about editing the drawers and putting in bigger knobs but I wasn't sure because this was a pay print if this is something the original designer should be doing or if I'm even legally able to post it if I make the update. I never understood why people put such tiny knobs on these prints. Was the same thing for the upper drawers. I ended up having to print bigger knobs but it was a free print so it wasn't a big deal.

@DutchWorkX3D I just tried it told me that I could not remix it due to your licensing so I shared it under your drawer inlay. Hopefully that works out ok like that.

The drawers seem narrower than necessary. What was the reason for this? (edited)

@Thibo_do_it I'm curious about this too. It would be awesome if it had wider drawers for more storage.

On this build this looks like a single drawer for parts and would fit on the right hand side of you rev2 riser. Correct? Is there a left hand drawer that also has that kind of cutout design to insert parts or tools? I am guessing this drawer you made would hold most of the tools and extra tips a person would have. Just curious if a left hand drawer would be better having a similar layout?

@DutchWorkX3D Not that I absolutely need another drawer like this right handed one. I am pretty new to 3D printing and I am not sure if I would need an additional drawer at this point like this one. Just asking because you never know. ;-). Thanks. I am going to start this drawer print tonight. Any special settings? Do I need supports? Should I leave the default infill at 15%?

does this fit the X3D-v3 Riser as well? I didn't see the drawer version originally and have already printed the v3 version.

@DanielMazoch_1192770 I have to check but it could as I have used the same hex pattern

I printed it, but the slots for the plates are too narrow, they only go in with force. Like the AMS Riser Final, it seems that the tolerances are too tight. A 3D printer is not a precision milling machine, at least not in the hobby class.
