super :)

At formnext I met Bob van Lochem from K3D, a company specializing in metal 3D printing, we chatted a bit and he wanted to try to print one of my rings... And this is the result. It is so satisfying; the hefty moment of inertia brings it to a new level compared to the plastic ones...
Most metal 3D printing companies won't be able to print this because they require much more clearance between parts.
its perfect but i cant open it when i close it howww do you open it twisting is not working
@aysegul_2934288 That is strange; it should open as well as it closes. It definitely does for me. Over-extrusion might however make operation difficult. Try more force... And a lower extrusion multiplier in case you want to print it again.
Printed in some random unknown brand bronze PETG - turned out pretty nice - printed straight from generic PETG profile on PrusaSlicer - there was a tiny bit so stringing thats expected - turned out great Thanks!
My new favorite boxes. Printed with PLA, one lid had to be wigglejiggled more to break it free but both now spin like dreams. Such a clever design!
Nice make! Will definitely have to reprint these with a tad looser settings to make them perfect, but these came out wonderfully still. Took a touch of effort to get them to spin, and I accidentally broke a gear on the smaller one in the effort, but that was my fault.
Printed a 15 and 18 with PLA silk
layer .12 on a .2mm nozzle at .1 resolution and no zy comp. (edited)
Initial layer 16mm/s, other layers: outer wall 120mm/s, inner wall 150mm/s; acceleration initial layer 500mm/s², other layers 5000mm/s².
tyty I'll give that a go soon
Really neat fidget ring! Took a little work to break it all free, but afterwards it spun freely.
Handy print. Printed mine in PETG. 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm "structural" settings.
Note: Using Prusa Slicer 2.9.0, I had to change the perimeter generator to Classic (not Arachne, which is the default) for all parts of the text STL to actually generate in the G-code, at least when slicing for a 0.4 mm nozzle. (This does not affect single-color prints with indented text.)
I love this box,
very easy print and it has a satisfying click ^^
I'm will print a lot of these for screws and other small things
Tanks for sharing ^^
Edit: a 50x50x40 Version would be nice ^^ (edited)
It wasn't easy to open at first, but after a few times, everything was fine. Thanks for that model.
I think it's a cool idea. It's a bit tricky, but with a little practice it works. Also great as a child lock.
I love a bad pun, especially when combined with a rather bizarre design concept.
argh,.. it's too tight fit, doesn't slide at all , i will have to use dremel sander to make this work
Cool design! Outside layer at 0.20, inside layer at 0.19
Still working to get it back open 😁
