Definitely doesn't work. Cool concept but doesn't work in real life. There is way too much friction, and unrolling the tape itself takes way too much power on it's own to make it possible to satisfyingly slide the snail across paper and leave tape behind. Even by pushing a lot, it won't work. And the point of a tape dispenser is to dispense tape without ripping the paper in the process so... Wouldn't recommend.
What slicer and settings did you use? When I slice it, the serrated blade loses all its detail.

I like this a lot but this is technically a modified V60 brewer, not a Chemex. The Chemex brew cone is smooth on the inner surface with a single wide channel for the displaced air to escape the carafe.
love the idea, but I wonder if there is any negative consequences of the water hitting the material at 201 degrees. hate to be "that guy", but im curious and just sending some food for thought before brewing.

@Mre_13645 I used first tim PLA but is so hot))) next use petg- its good. I think over the chemex I used paper filter - so its less plastic connect to water. But I think also no need use abs
What size nut and screw did you use?
Works great but should put what bolt and nut is used in description.
