Thanks, it works. Better to print with ABS or ASA.
I like the idea. Unfortunately for whatever reason, only one side fits into my spools :-(. Haven't tried ALL of my Prusament, but I tried on 3 spools and each of those it would fit on one side but not the other. Not sure if different Prusament spools have different right-to-left designs or what. Maybe older spool design versus newer? Or PLA vs PETG? Not sure.
This is a great idea and they work very well. The only issue, as others have stated, is that they must be printed at 101% scale or they do not fit.
I printed these with normal auto support settings and they printed very quickly. The support comes out pretty easily with a utility knife and a slight prying from the edge of the hole. I also noticed a small bump on the inner edge of the hole, at the top right, so I used my utility knife to shave it off of each part. Once done, with a bit of patience and gently pressure, they fit perfectly.
Also to note, they fit with the AMS PTFE guides (v2), with no issues.
Thanks. (edited)
I have a couple spools that look full size, but are just a tiny bit too small for the AMS and this seems to solve that problem. Although it does mean I can't close the cover.
Perfect for small spools! thanks!
This surprised me. Here I was thinking it was a little cover but it's got a nice chonky size to it. Definitely easier to grab when gloved and trying to use your pinky's. :D (edited)
Hello, have you tried? Could you post a more clear photo fro y axis, please?
I try to built this but it is not working. I use the same sensor but one mount is not fitting and sensor is eletronicly not working. Test it before with Power supplie (ok with 5V) but not working with the Board. (edited)
