ADORABLE. Sprinkles: rainbow PLA, 0.15mm layers; soot sprites: galaxy black + white + plain black PLA, 0.12mm layers.
I printed 8x9 sprinkles at a time with color shifting filament: I added eight "parts" to form a group, and made 9 "instances", and turned on sequential printing. So the printer would make 8 sprinkles at once, and repeat this 9 times in the print job. This gives 8 parts that are roughly the same color, but two groups show more of a color shift than just printing individual sprinkles. This was a good way to get a rainbow of sprinkles without getting a plate full of sprinkles that are themselves a rainbow from their bottom to top.
Unfortunately this meant I had a huge number of sprinkles... so I will have to make more sprites and give them away to every Ghibili lover in my life. Luckily, there are several.
The soot sprites benefited from a lower layer height to increase the number of passes my nozzle made on the pupils - otherwise they were a single layer thick.
The sprinkles have some drooping where the magnet goes, which I would fix with a chamfer rather than a filet, but a magnet gets squished in there so it's quite inconsequential. By the way, excellent sizing and a very satisfying squeeze for the magnets: my fingers were sore after inserting so many, but no glue was required. I found applying the magnets right off the heated bed helped quite a bit, hot air might be helpful if they're allowed to cool. Beautiful model (edited)

These look wonderful! Will you be uploading a file for the stars too?
