Thank you Chris for making this file available.
I am just learning how to use a lathe and only recently obtained my ER32 collets. I soon realized that I would like trays for my collets.
I've downloaded this file and printed it on my Prusa Mini using PETG filament. In the end I'll need three trays. So far I've printed only one. I like the concept of three smaller trays as opposed to just one heavier one.
In terms of the design, I find nothing lacking. This tray is a perfect thickness. The design allows the collets to easily be plucked from the tray.
Thank you again for sharing this design.

These parts are good improvements over the originals. I especially like the mounting points for a spring. They came out beautifully in (bright orange!) ASA.

How should I be using the screw holes to clamp down the belts?

@jmooserific_578690 You have to fold the belt under the bossing and use a large washer under the screw head to pinch the belt in place. A bit fiddly the first time but once tightened it doesn't move at all.

Are you using the Eggbotboard and Axidraw Inkscape Extension?
If so, isn't the pen lift servo mounted on the wrong side?
When hitting "Raise the Pen" in AxiDraw Control → Manual , the servo rotates counterclockwise which leads to lower your pen holder design instead of raising it?

@Flexi_1988020 In the Inkscape plugin you can set then "Pen up" and "Pen down" positions (Setup tab). For me, up is 0% and down is 40%, I think by default it is the other way around and I inverted the axis by switching the values.

@ChrisB
Ah, that works, thanks for the reply!
I mounted the servo 180 degrees rotated and found a sweet spot between 60% UP and 40% DOWN, where the servo is just about fitting into the pen slide geometry.
But your solution is better, appreciate!

Thanks Chris,
It was a excellent project and it is working very well !
In general, the parts came out very well except for the bearing-2 (not moving) but it work with the assembly.
For the pitch mechanism itself, I used some grease (syntheric polyolefin (PAO) lubricant) to work well.
