anyone try this with BBL Aero PLA yet?
Printed in Extrudr DuraPro ASA. I printed two at once: one scaled up a bit in case it shrinks and one at default size. The default size is installed in the printer since it turned out a bit better and fit well. (The photos are of the two different prints.) (edited)
Is there a good way to orient this print so that you do not need supports? I tried but I could not figure out a good way to print it.
What model joystick did you base it on?
Just says based on online model.
@BanditFPVprints thank you sir.
My hero! I broke the piece 15 minutes after I had unboxed it. You saved my experience of the Walksnail! Thanks!
Great job. I got all set to draw this myself, but no need, these are about perfect.
I printed in the tpu that I already had loaded, and chose the simple print version. I think that the quality of material in the oem version is pretty brittle. I would suggest proactively replacing it with a tpu piece.
Experimenting. I think we are on something.
Can’t get them to stay in place. This is PETG. Will print TPU but still don’t know how it will stay in place. Double side tape? I might as well add 10 layers of double side tape to adjust this the way I want without your part.
I printed just the side shims, they work well.
There's basically no description on this model which can be problematic for many. You have to place the model in the right side to print (bottom), you have to mirror to get the other side, and you have to cut out the support once its done.
I printed it in TPU, which I think is the best, and I use some double side tape to hold it to the goggles. I think the ideal modification will be to add something so this part attaches directly to the goggle holes as the original.
Shape is perfect, and very easy to print.
@Nordfpv ah! Got a pointer for something better? ;)
Hahaha..this is great! Printed it hollow and shoved some led's inside.
Thanks for a great model!
I printed mine in resin ABS-like. It Clips very well. Unfortunately it was a bit of play (slides along the lenght of the drone). I probably won't trust it with the heavy 360 camera.
Where did you get the avata model?
Snaps on well. I'd you do across freestyle, be careful because it will slide off the back.
@Aero3D Thanks! Looks great
Great design. Thank you for sharing. Works great so far. Haven't tested how well it works on crashes yet but I'm sure its better that nothing being there. Hopefully I never find out ;)
@tsviper_368474 thanks! If there is anything you see to improve, I’m all ears!
