Ohh, I'll have to check this out, thanks! I have the exact same problem with full spools. My quick/cheap solution was to cut a piece of cardboard and tape it to the side of my spool. :-)

Quick note... have any photos of your completed/assembled project? Your description says "Insert Bowden tubing into the outer two holes of the filament holder as shown in the pictures" but there are no pictures of that. (edited)

@MikeF Good catch! I guess I forgot to add that to the original post cause I had a photo sitting in my camera reel already. It's up there now. That carboard solution is creative, I never thought of that! (edited)

Easy to print, and attached easily to my existing dual spool mount (a modified one using rollers). Now to give it a try! Thanks for this, it's way nicer than my old solution.

Note, I needed a M5x16 BH screw, not B5x12, to attach the mounting bracket and guide. I think the hardware parts list here includes some parts for this mod, and some parts for the original dual spool holder. (edited)

@MikeF Thanks for giving it a go, glad you like it! I'll revise the hardware list with your feedback, thanks. You're correct that it includes the original bracket's hardware and perhaps those should be omitted for clarity. (edited)

Fantastic mod. Printing is SO much quieter now.

If you don't want to mess around with trying to pin the JST connectors (I tried and failed), highly recommend ordering a pack of these pre-wired connectors and splicing your own: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DUC1PW6 (Or any other pre-wired JST PH 2.0 3-pin connectors.)

I decided to go the full hog and fit the 2 new fans and I have to say this is better that Blue Thunder or Airwolf in whisper mode. Had to cut the air hole for the Noctua with a hole saw, I know horror of horrors, maybe get round to a remake before the V6 arrives?????

@diybyday_424503 Glad you’re having success with it! Nice job with the shroud; you gotta do what you gotta do 😂

I like the idea but the measurements are off. When the piece is rested on the duct to direct the airflow the holes don’t align. Maybe a half a bolt lower. Also, make sure you turn it off before attempting in case your hex wrench touches the fan connectors and fries your type-c adapter board…

Hi, great design.
Where did you find the 3D model of the printhead from the Ankermake?
I can't find it anywhere online.

@Sakul_764388 So I got them from the official Discord, but I made a much more elaborate version of what AnkerMake distributed. I think that will be of more use to you since includes most the models they gave us. My files also have most of the guts. AnkerMake's models only gave us the housings.

Printed in PETG+ Clear and PETG + UV Reactive Orange. Ironically when you take your printer apart, you need another printer to finish it. So this one was made on the X1C for the M5.

NAGA PETG. Don't know when I'll need this, but wanted to have them all printed when I do.
