Smart mod!
I printed this and it worked with no issue. Small suggestion for anyone else - I needed an external GPS antenna (not in the case like this design). I ran the connector out of one of the holes on the side, but it would be cleaner to add a 2nd antenna attachment port to the body.
I haven't yet gotten both the screen and LoRA module to work. The pinouts seem to overlap for at least a few of them (6, 8, 10, 19, 20, 21, and 25). I'm curious how the original author made them both work together.

dtoverlay=spi0-0cs
enable_uart=1' in /boot/firmware/config.txt etc.
