It turned out amazing, the only thing that bugged me that I know you have no control over is that not all of the levitating air bonsai plants have the same magnetic base. The one that you received was different from the one I was sent and thus it didn’t fit in the printed base you provided.
Nevertheless, the print came out great and I’m extremely happy with how it turned out so far. Thank you for posting this. (edited)
@ice2be_810203 hey, just wanted to ask if you could send me the link to the base and magnets and everything im gonna need to make this work, if you cant , no worries.
@NoahMannfeld_786162 The link to the one I used is in the description!
Well Done Sir...
Ordered some 6mm (dia) x 3mm magnets as instructed, only to find that the holes in the model are only a little over 4mm in diameter. Am I missing something? Was it a typo?
@teeter477_267428 Those are the magnets I used! I just used some drill bits to widen the holes enough for them to fit. I never trust the sizing of the holes I 3d print so I err on the smaller side. Easier to widen the space vs fill in the gaps, I guess?
@AlexFiel_408766 got it, bothered that I didn't think of that. Although, my PLA material is far too weak to attempt drilling...would you be willing to upload a version with a 6mm (maybe 6.05 for fitment?) version for those that can't drill?
Great model! I had to adjust the lens inserts for wider lenses like in the Kodak Funsaver but the rest worked perfect!
I created a website, which immensely simplifies the process of creating the resulting gif:

Feel free to try it out and give me feedback for further improvements 😃

THIS IS THE COOLEST THING EVER. "Immensely" doesn't even cover it...
Your UI for selecting the same point across the images is great!
Are you releasing the source anywhere? I've been meaning to make something like that site forever but never got around to it... Would love to see how you did it!
@AlexFiel_408766 Thanks for the positive feedback, I'm very happy that you like it 😁

Very clever design! I used a 3D pen to adhere the lenses down, but I'll probably smooth it over with a soldering iron at some point
A little bit of a pain to build, but is nice :)
Incredible design. Thanks for sharing!
